Canadian Foothills Division
The Canadian Foothills Division (CFD) includes EnCana's resource play assets in British Columbia and Alberta. As EnCana's largest operating division, CFD focuses on the development of unconventional gas resources from current and emerging plays, including Horseshoe Canyon, Coalbed Methane (CBM), Cutbank Ridge, Bighorn and Greater Sierra, with promising exploration results from the Horn River basin and Manville areas.



 
Overview

Our Commercial Services – Joint Interest (JI) team has an exciting opportunity for a JI Agreements Analyst to join our dynamic group.  Working closely with our JI Representatives, JI Analysts and JI Administration you will be an integral part of a team responsible for the management of all operated and non-operated units and facilities, as well as service agreements in the Canadian Foothills Division. In this agreements analyst position, you will liaise with a diverse number of people external to EnCana as well within EnCana.

  



 
Responsibilities
  • Create, monitor and follow to execution, Construction, Ownership and Operation Agreements, and Unit and Unit Operating Agreements. 
  • Create, monitor and follow to execution, Agreements where EnCana provides a service to third parties in our Operated Facilities, these include, but are not limited to: Gas Handling, Oil Handling and Contract Operating Agreements
  • Review and evaluate agreements where EnCana requires a service in a Non Operated Facility, these include, but are not limited to Gas Handling, Oil Handling and Contract Operating Agreements
  • Initiate and coordinate operated tie ins and associated business arrangements
  • Review and evaluate tie in agreements into a third party facility
  • Work in conjunction with Accounting to resolve issues in regards to JI service arrangements
  • Understanding our assets in our areas – infrastructure, cost profiles, JI business and opportunities
  • Collaborate with Property Teams, Operations, Accounting and other internal stakeholders on Joint Venture business
  • Assist JI Reps with business development


 
Qualifications
  • must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • fifteen or more years of related oil and gas experience, including joint interest experience
  • ten years experience specifically related to joint interest agreements / contracts
  • strong understanding of PJVA model agreements
  • post secondary degree preferred
  • Results driven; demonstrated ability to bring closure to issues
  • basic understanding of minerals land, accounting and field and production operations
  • versatile, conscientious with a strong “customer service” orientation
  • demonstrated abilities in organization, written and verbal communication
  • strong computer skills, including use of databases and Accumap
  • effective interpersonal skills in order to develop effective working relationships within the company and external
