As a Relief Troubleman you will inspect, construct, operate, maintain, and repair the Distribution and Transmission System by responding to system and customer concerns as identified by Emergency Response Dispatch, Control and the Trouble Foreman. You will analyze situations and determine appropriate actions. Major responsibilities will include switching and responding to trouble and maintenance calls in underground and aerial, as well as substations, trolley, LRT, oil pumping stations, streetlights, traffic and meters. Technical applications performed include meggering cable, use of a hotstick and various related tools, as well as removing/installing working grounds. You will also perform other duties as required. |

Completion of Grade 12 and possession of a Journeyman Power Lineman Certificate or Power System Electrician Certificate is required. You will have completed three years related experience at a Journeyman level including High Voltage switching experience on all Distribution apparatus. A Class 3 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operators License with an air brake endorsement is required. Pole climbing ability is required. You also require a working knowledge of AEUC, and have First Aid/CPR.
You will demonstrate a strong customer service orientation, well developed communication and interpersonal skills, a high level of safety awareness, attention to detail, professional manner, analytical thinking/problem solving, decision-making/judgment skills, along with the ability to work independently without supervision. |

- Hours of work will include a combination of shifts to provide 24-hour coverage, 7 days per week in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
